Honour killing: Girl's brother kills youth in Sirsa

SIRSA: In another case of honour killing in Haryana, a 22-year-old youth was murdered by the girl’s brother when the couple was caught together in Kumhariyan village on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday. The victim, Jay Kumar, died on the spot, while his friend Rakesh, who was accompanying the couple, sustained serious injuries.

Acting on Rakesh’s statement, Nathusari Chopta police have booked the girl’s brother Bittu Singh and his accomplices on charges of murder and attempt to murder. Bittu, who went into hiding after the incident, was rounded up on Friday afternoon, police claimed.
